The sequence starts with the luminaire at stand-still, background lit to form a deep sillouhette.

The luminaire slides along its track, spinning around its stirrup mount to face across the screen, the beam of the un-guarded reflector sweeping across the frame.

The Director wanted a 'mechanised' action to the different beam attachments when they moved into position, and a solid 'snap in' action when they engaged position. The Gobo and Iris attachments had to clearly show the beam shaping effects as they were operated.

The lens attachment used reflection mapping to convey the quality of coated optics.

All of the beam shaping effects were modelled and coordinated using actual geometry, as caustic ray effects had not been implimented within the software.
